This is for the non-coaching search talk. We'll have another Rumor Mill up after this, but this is your recruiting report.

Missouri had some notable visitors on campus last weekend and throughout the week, here are some news and notes we've gathered on some:

- Five-star edge rusher Samuel M'Pemba made a mid-week return trip to Missouri, he talked with Rivals.com national analyst Ryan Wright about his trip HERE. The St. Louis native is taking his time with his recruiting process as he will head back to Michigan and Notre Dame this weekend and plans Georgia, Alabama, USC, LSU, Miami, Texas A&M, and Penn State as well throughout the spring and summer. Missouri seems to be in a very good spot here as they are looking to land a five-star prospect in consecutive classes.

- DeSmet (Mo.) CB target Christian Gray was also at Missouri for a mid-week visit on the same day as M'Pemba. We've reached out to the four-star prospect, but haven't heard back from him yet. While the connections to LSU are obviously there, it's still another good sign for Mizzou to get one of the nation's best prospects on campus that is located in the backyard. Alabama, Ohio State, and Notre Dame are also in the mix.

- Four-star OL target Luke Brown visited Missouri for the first time this past weekend, he now has an official visit set up with the Tigers for June 24th & 25th - CLICK HERE for more on Brown's visit and thoughts on Mizzou.

- Lee's Summit (Mo.) four-star WR Joshua Manning was at Missouri over the weekend as well, he hadn't been on campus since the summer for a 7-on-7 tournament. The Tigers' staff impressed Manning and he's looking to visit again down the road - CLICK HERE for that update.

- RB target JT Smith, Jr. out of Hough (N.C.) was back at Missouri over the weekend. It was his second trip to Columbia after visiting for the South Carolina game during the season. The three-star told us that Missouri will be one of the schools he'll take an official visit to over the summer. He said Wisconsin is the other school he knows for sure will get an official this summer.

Another note from our conversation with Smith, Jr. - he told us he talked a lot with Missouri tight end commit Brett Norfleet during his visit. He said Norfleet was really selling him on choosing Missouri and why it felt like home to him. So, despite the wave of new offers that Norfleet has tallied in recent weeks. It seems he's still very solid with Missouri.

- West Bloomfield (Mich.) offensive lineman Amir Herring was another first-time visitor to Missouri over the weekend. The four-star said his trip definitely boosted Missouri's stance in his recruiting process, you can read that update HERE. Herring has visits planned to Nebraska, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Boston College, Pitt, Penn State, and Michigan upcoming.

- Logan Reichert, Miles McVay, Edric Hill, Adepoju Adebawore, and Jeremiah McClellan (2024) were other notable targets on campus this past weekend that we are in the process of getting reactions from. Paris Patterson, Brandon Henderson, and Allen Middleton were other notable in-state prospects that were in attendance.

- Cypress Woods (Tex.) linebacker Dylan Rogers is a name we've mentioned previously, he told our Texas Tech site earlier this week that the Red Raiders, Mississippi State, and Missouri and his top three schools right now. He plans to visit all three schools this spring.

- Rockledge (Fla.) offensive lineman Bryce Lovett has a top group of schools that includes UCF, Arkansas, Florida, Louisville, Iowa State, and Missouri. Bryce is the younger brother of current Missouri linebacker Zachary Lovett, so the Tigers have a direct connection there. The three-star prospect recently visited UCF and Arkansas. A trip to Iowa State is scheduled for early April and he's also looking to get out to Louisville and Missouri as well.

-There will be three visitors to campus this weekend that we know of and all should be in Columbia on Friday.

-2023 RB Jeremiyah Love from CBC will be in town. He's one of the hottest prospects in the country, having added about 25 offers in the last month or two. Good to get him on campus for some one on one time.

-Ole Miss transfer Keidron Smith is coming to Columbia for a visit as well. Smith played in all 23 games for the Rebels at cornerback in the last two seasons. He had 64 tackles each year. In 47 career games he has five interceptions and had three pass breakups last season. Smith is also expected to visit Kentucky, Indiana and Virginia Tech.

-The big name is Georgia QB transfer JT Daniels, whose father confirmed his visit to Columbia this weekend. Daniels should get to town sometime today. Daniels is the latest in the line of one-year solutions Mizzou has gone after at quarterback. From what I'm hearing, Missouri would be okay with the current QBs going into next year, but it's obvious by the actions they're looking for a starter this season. Daniels has already visited Oregon State and is expected to visit West Virginia. He's staying at UGA through May to finish classes and graduate so we wouldn't expect an immediate decision unless something blows him away.

-That is likely it for big visitors this weekend. There will probably be some guys checking out the spring game, but no prospects with offers are expected to be here at this time. The big weekend was last weekend and Mizzou will bring some guys in during the summer period, but we're not expecting Saturday to be a big day for unofficial.

-On the basketball side, Aidan Shaw has officially received his release from Missouri and will look around. He hasn't returned messages, so we don't really know what his options are right now. He had 17 offers listed when he shut things down, so we'd bet he'll have plenty of them. The new Missouri coach will likely have a shot to retain Shaw.

-Point guard signee Christian Jones has been silent in the week since the coaching change and has not returned multiple messages so we are unsure where he stands right now, but he remains locked in with Mizzou until we hear otherwise.
