So it's pretty much all recruiting this week. Let's start by making sure you saw the updated hot boards.

OFFENSE

DEFENSE

These are a good starting point. Now, we're not telling you this is a comprehensive list on either side of the ball. It's not like we're sitting and looking at Mizzou's official recruiting board. But it's a good starting point. A few notes:

*We unintentionally left 2017 New Orleans QB Keytaon Thompson off the offensive board. Missouri is definitely interested and he has said he plans to visit. We're trying to reach him to get a little bit more info on where he stands in his recruitment.

*Another guy who wasn't listed, but who Missouri is definitely keeping tabs on is Duke running back commit Deon Jackson.

*The only offensive position we are confident Missouri is done at is tight end. Other than that, they'll take another guy and even go over a projected number if it's the right player (and, yes, from what we can tell, that includes wide receivers beyond Jeff Thomas). As we have said, we'd expect some roster attrition in the offseason.

*On the defensive side, a bit of bad, but not unexpected if you've been paying attention, news. We always hesitate to wade into academic matters. But we were told by multiple sources we trust this week that there is no way Chester Graves is qualifying. We'll tell you when there is work to do but it's possible. But in this case, we're being told it just isn't going to happen. Wherever Graves signs in February (and it could certainly be Mizzou), there's going to be a two-year detour to junior college first.

*Defensive line and cornerback are the two positions we expect Missouri to look to the juco ranks for. Specifically defensive tackle.

*With the bye week, Missouri's coaches hit the road in the last couple of days. Here's where we've been able to figure out the Tiger coaches went/are going:

Barry Odom--Kansas City, St. Louis
Cornell Ford--St. Louis, Atlanta
Andy Hill--Kansas City, Alabama
Joe Jon Finley--Texas
Ryan Walters--Detroit, Texas
Greg Brown--Georgia, Florida
Glenn Elarbee--Tennessee, Arizona
Jackie Shipp--Oklahoma, Arizona

Current commitments, probably most of the guys on the target boards linked above, plus a few others and 2018 and 2019 kids are all on the radar getting school visits this week. We'll try tracking down some of the specific guys Missouri was by to see in the next few days and have some stories and information for you next week.

*On the hoops, side, will just point your attention to a couple of posts by Eric Bossi. Looks like Mizzou is monitoring some in-state guys.

Think that does it for this week.
