Three goats just left their jobs in coaching, Saban, Belichick, Carroll. All were in their 70s.

Did you know that only 2 men born in the 1970s have won titles in NFL and college, Mike Tomlin and Kirby Smart. In fact, if you expand to 1964 to 1980, you can only add Doug Pederson (was fired) and Dabo Swinney (who knows)

And if you look at the new hires and up and coming coaches, it's not guys in their late 40s or early 50s, it is guys in the their 30s or very early 40s. Eliah Drinkwitz, Lincoln Riley, Lanning,

Lane Kiffin could be rare.

Of all of those guys and coaches in NFL, Kirby Smart is the only one I see becoming a star/legend, the only one out of GenX IMO.
