Traded messages with recently offered Oak Ridge (Tenn.) tight end Darel Middleton today. He told me that the Mizzou was a complete surprise to him. Even since he added the offer he has not talked to a Mizzou coach. Middleton is a Arizona State commit, but he does plan to officially visit other schools. He told me that he likes Mizzou because 'they throw the ball around and they grind.' If the Mizzou coaches decide they want to actively pursue Middleton it sounds like they'd have a chance to at least get a visit.
