Trey Stewart knew it was a possibility.
After Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz and defensive line coach Al Davis visited Little Rock (Ark.) Central on Jan. 16, Stewart came away with the assumption the Tigers showed legitimate interest in him.
So when he got to Columbia for the program's Junior Day this past Saturday, Stewart prepared himself for his first SEC scholarship. He spoke with Davis and running backs coach Curtis Luper and got the news.
"Lowkey, I was expecting one," Stewart said. "Because I showed them my film, talked to (Luper) before. He said he was very interested in me and that I passed the eye test. When he first see me, I knew it was up from there."
