Heading into his visit Saturday, Braylen Warren knew an offer from Missouri was possible, but he wasn't expecting it.

The Class of 2027 quarterback previously visited the Tigers in September, jumping on the radar of the staff during his sophomore season at Omaha (Neb.) Westside. In his return, Warren took to a meeting with coach Eli Drinkwitz and received the news.

"It was a surprise to me," Warren said. "It was always a thought in my head that whole day, but I didn't know for sure. I just didn't want to go in over confident."

The Tigers became the first SEC program to offer Warren, who now holds six scholarships, five from Power Four schools. During his meeting with Drinkwitz, Warren told him he could see himself playing quarterback for Missouri.

"He said that I'm everything that they see in a quarterback, they want in a quarterback," the three-star said, "and they finally pulled the trigger."

Before receiving his offer, Warren left the Saturday scrimmage for a quarterback meeting with offensive coordinator Kirby Moore. The two went over the Tigers' play concepts and identified key defenders in film.

Moore pointed to Warren's arm talent and ability to run. That dual-threat approach thrived at times for Moore's offense under Brady Cook, and for Warren, he showed those tools his sophomore season with 2,105 passing yards and 32 total touchdowns, two rushing.

"The best part is just being able to build a relationship with the coaches," Warren said. "I really like their culture, really like the coaching staff."

Warren, a Nebraska legacy, wasn't the only Omaha quarterback visiting Saturday. Class of 2026 three-star Jett Thomalla also made a return trip to Missouri for his first visit while holding an offer from the Tigers.

"Me and Jett are good friends," Warren said. "We just talked about Mizzou and other offers we had, the type of schools that we like, but we both like Mizzou a lot."

Warren will look to visit Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State and Oklahoma State next.
