Missouri made two stops to Chicago (Ill.) Mt. Carmel during the NCAA Contact Period and left a strong impression on Quentin Burrell.
Burrell, a Class of 2027 four-star wideout, received an offer from offensive line coach Brandon Jones on Jan. 28, when the Tigers extended five total scholarships to Class 7A IHSA state champions.
After receiving his first SEC offer from the Tigers this past month, Burrell scheduled his first visit to Missouri for Junior Day on March 8.
"I look forward to meeting him this spring," Burrell said about wide receiver coach Jacob Peeler.
Burrell, who ranks No. 111 in the Rivals250, reeled in 75 passes for 1,257 yards and 18 touchdowns during his sophomore season, breaking Mt. Carmel's single-season receiving yards record and totaling 1,647 all-purpose yards.
"My biggest strides were my consistency of play in practice and games, my ability to win one-on-one at the line of scrimmage and to create separation even in zone coverage and impacting the game when the ball is not in my hands through blocking and route combos to get my teammates open," Burrell said.
In addition to Missouri, Burrell will be visiting Louisville, Michigan and Wisconsin in March. He's eyeing April visits to Michigan State, Mississippi and Notre Dame.
