1. Veterans Day is supposed to be about those who served or are serving, but I thought Memorial Day was for those who have passed? I bring this up because it seemed like a lot of he respects this past weekend were for those who passed away and I am not sure that's correct. Either way, honoring those who served or are serving is something that we should all do. I thought Trump was stupid for not attending the event in France. It reflects poorly. It has nothing to do with his presidency in my opinion, but more to do with the type of person he is, which is a toddler. On to the veterans, it is my understanding that we should think about the veterans today, so the first thing that drew my attention was their healthcare and benefits. Veterans shouldn't have to wait for either. You honored your contract, the US Government should honor its contract. On opiods addiction among Vets, I think they should be allowed medicinal marijuana (like years ago). It's ridiculous that they don't unless they live in a handful of states.
2. Florida's Broward and Palm Beach counties, what a sh1tshow for elections. If Dems want to argue to protect votes, they need credibility by ripping these election officials. Some fraud was committed. If GOP wants credibility, they should chastise the Georgia Governor Elect for his election management and active voter suppression. But we live in a society where credibility is not desired apparently. I think if the Dem win Florida, then they lose 2020. POTUS 2020 Election really starts off after first of the year. Even though we got our first announcement running today. Depends how dem party wants to go, do they go radical with Kamala Harris or more moderate with a Joe Biden type? I think they will go with someone like Harris and I think that enables Trump to win 2020.
3. The Fires in California (also not one of Trump's finest moments). I would equate his ripping on Forest mismanagement when people start blaming global warming during a hurricane. First off, Fixing the Forest or Global Warming would be a decade process before results would be realized (unless everyone just died, then it would be faster). But there is a time and place to discuss it and that time is not while carnage is happening. In terms of Woke people, I also thought Alyssa Milano was pretty dumb when she was whining about her horses while people were burning alive. Some people need some retrospection and a lot of time those people needing it are the rich and the celebs.
4. Mizzou and KC Chiefs - both didn't play very well, both held on for wins. I don't find myself caring about basketball as much as I used to, but the Kim Anderson years probably caused a bit of that.
5. Rough week last week for the OP here. My boxer who was 10 years old had to be put to sleep. He was diagnosed with his first inoperable tumor (he had others removed) in July and everything was going fine, but in the last 6 weeks, it went south FAST. He started losing bladder control and started drinking gallons of water per day and urinating everywhere. His final night, I slept in living room so that I could take him outside every hour to go pee. It was tough putting down a dog I have owned for 10 years. The Vet said the words that I needed to hear after the fact, "I think you made the right choice" because I was concerned that I pulled the plug too soon. He lost over 10% of his body weight in the final 5 days. He wasn't eating anything, but I still felt as though I was calling the end too soon. I can't think that Vet enough because her words put my mind at ease.
See ya bud, you'll be missed.
