The 4th Quarter TD that put MU ahead started with an MU fair catch. Burden hurried 10-15 yards upfield to make the catch. Too many times over the last 5 years, those have hit the ground for another 10-20 yards of roll and lost field position. If Burden does not make that play, there is a possibility of that drive starting inside the 10.
Marcus James was perhaps the best I have seen at covering ground to field punts and thereby maximizing field position. Of course, Maclin was none too shabby.
I took the play yesterday as just one more sign of tremendous Luther Burden improvement.
