If things continue to unravel, offer the HC job to Chase. Buy out his guaranteed salary with the Bears next year ( Boosters) and give him a 4 year deal to turn this program around. Instant credibility recruiting in Texas again, and generate enthusiasm here to fill those new end zone seats, and put fans in that empty new upper deck. He'll be 33 next year.. probably his last pro season anyway. See if he wanted the chance to coach his alma matter, before going after anyone else.
