I am interested in finding out how to structure my parent's assets (not huge) so that one of them doesn't run through all the money paying for nursing home care, leaving little or nothing for the other one to pay for their care. I am learning how expensive nursing home care is.
I am talking about the Columbia area primarily. I'll be in town next week or two and could speak with an attorney, or other knowledgeable person, about their situation.
I don't know the rules and regulations surrounding Medicaid assistance in Missouri vis-a-vis family assets, and it could be that a simple re-titling of several accounts might take care of my concerns.
