Baker siad they did some good things last week but have things to clean up. He said there are spurts when they've been dominant and then times where they give up bonehead plays.
He said that all three RBs for Auburn are good backs and that they all can start in different spots in the nation. He said they all are fast and have great vision.
He noted Auburn QB Zach Calzada is something they've been preparing for.
He noted that Harsin's offense is multiple and that he can run multiple plays for each personnel package. "They do a great job presenting the same play a 1,000 different ways."
He said Kristian Williams has played at a higher level than D-Rob and that's why he started last week. He said Robinson is still playing well and played the same amount of snaps but he wanted to reward Williams' play.
He said a lot of breakdowns in coverage or defensively is fundamental and a coaching problem. He said they had a good practice tackling and practicing the fundamentals.
He said that forcing turnovers is part luck and part coaching. He said turnovers come in bunches (that's what he likes to think is what he said).
He wants to see more consistency from defensive ends. He said the effort has been there but that the defense as a whole has to create more havoc.
He said he was excited to see Rakestraw get that INT in week three. He said Ennis has done that in camp multiple times and finally got it done in the game. He said Ennis is playing at a high level and a joy to coach and wishes he had a whole room of Ennis Rakestraws.
He said the defense has to start fast in a hostile environment. Faster than they did at K-STate. He said KSU game showed them that the Tigers are never out of the game and he thinks the defense grew out of that game.
He said Marcus Clarke (Miami transfer) is playing well and learning. He said he's making progress and that he can see more playing time going forward.
He said that part of the reason for a lack of disruption is because KSU didnt throw the ball because they were up big and ACU was getting the ball out in 2.15 seconds (they did the research) and using max protection.
He was wearing a hoodie and cleats in 90 F weather (this is me, Jarod, saying that as a person Baker got that dawg in him)!
Next up we have Jaylon Carlies.
He said they have to stay calm going into this hostile environment.
He said the theme is to keep the ball in front of them and disrupt the big plays.
Next up is Jayden Jernigan.
He said that Auburn is a good o-line and that they do well in pass blocking and they do a lot of pass protection.
He said Tank Bigsby is an outstanding running back and is like Deuce Vaughn with his vision.
He said they communicated well vs. K-State and they need to do a little better this week vs Auburn.
He said the halftime adjustment was fixing their mindset and they overlooked who they were playing in ACU.
Next up is Martez Manuel.
Manuel said he felt he was better against ACU because he didn't play with the club for the first time all season (Manuel did actually play well).
He said Auburn has a lot of good RBs and said that gap integrity will be here like at KSU (and he added that he hopes they're not playing in a monsoon).
He said he wish he could pinpoint the road struggles for the program (2-8 on the road in Eli era).
