Here are a few thoughts:
1) Crockett is really good, but Tennessee is really bad on defense!
2) Lock continues to make mistakes in key situations. His pick to start the 2nd half sent us spiraling down and his pick that went for TD later in the game sealed the game for Tennessee. He seems to be off on too many throws and we all know his WR's don't help him much! He definitely doesn't always see the field very well.
3) Our DB's have gotten worse as the season has gone along. What has happened to Penton? Our safeties are not real good. Maybe Cam should have stayed on offense because he is one of the poorest tacklers I have ever seen! Our defensive players and our philosophy are too passive, but I don't think we have the players to be more aggressive!
4) Our LB's are very average, but I am excited about Garrett! Is Lee big enough to be a LB? We are not real great at taking on blocks!
5) Our DL has been better lately, but this group has dropped off the most from last year!
6) Our OL has been the most consistent all year and they are probably the least talented!
7) Get another couple good young RB's and this will be a stacked position next year!
8) Our TE's should be thrown to more. We are effective in stretches getting them the ball and then we totally forget about them. That is on Lock and the coaches.
9) Our WR's drop way too many balls, but rarely is it right on the money. Too often it is thrown high or behind them, but they have to help Lock out more than they do.
8) The punting has been great overall and our kicking has never been worse!
9) The SEC officials are very average. The PI call on Gibson in the first half was really week. Their DB's grabbed our WR's 3-4 times and they never called PI. Harris gets held on every other play, but they never call it!
10) Our main offensive players make too many mistakes (Lock & Moore). I hear people keep saying that Lock is only a sophomore, but the last time I checked Crockett is only a freshman and he doesn't make that many mistakes.
11) Offensively the future looks bright if Lock can improve a lot!
12) Defensively we are not that good and we lose some players. Next year could be rough on defense, but heck it has been rough this year so I guess it can't get worse!
