Tonight Bobby Witt, Jr. hits his second HR of the game and almost passes Salvy Perez heading to home plate. My wife asks if that has ever happened.
I immediately thought of a Mizzou game, probably 13 or 14 years ago against (I think) aTm. If memory serves we were about to win the Big XII tournament. We got a 2 run HR, but it didn’t count because the batter passed the runner on first (I’m guessing he thought it was caught and went back to tag up). Shocking that this would happen to MU, but we lost.
Anyone else recall this?
