Odom's been on the ropes twice already; 1-5 with UConn in town, and then Florida last year. The team answered both times. I think Odom choosing to attempt a FG from 48 with a suspect PK and 6:30 to go, a team that still hadn't got off the bus and knowing you may not even see the ball again even if you make the FG was a terrible call. If Mizzou were 3-4, I would argue fireable offense.

Odom's made several questionable decisions, but that was probably the worst one so far. Analogous to Smith punting with two timeouts and 2:10 to go against Michigan State down 10-3 in 2000 and then never seeing the ball again.

The team may turn it around, but you don't lose to a 1-5 conference opponent when ranked. You just don't do that. You don't run your mouth down a touchdown when you have done nothing on offense, you don't run your mouth on defense and give up a first down when you have a stop in hand. All of that is coaching, and Odom's coaching is very questionable at this point.

Odom gets year 5 even if the team loses out, but I have a feeling we just saw his Larry Smith moment today. Maybe I stand corrected in a few weeks...
