He still appreciates our coverage of the program.
Initial game plan vs SC was put in last Sunday/Monday. Practiced Tuesday-Thursday then took off for recruiting.
Got back to practice Sunday night and now in normal game week.
South Carolina: Really good up front on both sides, play physical.
Jake Bentley is able to extend plays, has a good arm, very competitive.
Says their receivers do a good job of making catches when the ball is close.
"One of the best atmospheres in college football and I admire the way that they do it."
Health update: Nate Brown and Emanuel Hall missed some practice time early, but they expect both of those guys to be ready to go Saturday. Not sure on Richaud Floyd. Said he looked a lot better today than Sunday.
Studied a lot of trends this year, not that many more touchbacks on kickoffs. Says kickoff return has been Missouri's best area on special teams. Punt return hasn't been productive.
Odom on Deebo Samuel: One of the top playmakers in college football. Makes a play even when there's not much there. Have to be selective in where you're going to kick the ball. "Would rather it go in row five behind the end zone than giving him a chance to make a play."
Christian Holmes has grown up and improved a lot. Still has a ways to go.
Tyler Badie: The explosiveness in the return game jumped out, the competitiveness when the ball wasn't in his hands. Wasn't sure how he would handle everything right away, but "I've been impressed with what he has done being able to put himself into this position."
"I would expect we'll see Jake (Bentley) out there first snap...We're preparing for him to be the starting quarterback and to play for four quarters."
"There are going to be times that there are one on one matchups that we've got to find a way to win."
Odom says the freshmen who have played every game (even if only on special teams) are locked in and will continue to play skipping a redshirt.
All three backs bring something different and will continue to get carries. Reps probably won't change that much going forward. "We're better right now with all three guys playing."
On the transfers after four games: Said it came up in offseason that this would be a possible consequence of the redshirt rule.
Cam Hilton got surgery on his thumb. Odom said he has bounced back well and he thinks it will be a big help. Cast probably for the next two weeks.
