Did anyone witness the incident a few minutes after the game involving Kentucky running back Benny Snell? I was sitting in Section H, row 1, with a 10 year old friend of the family, when Snell ran over to high five a group of Kentucky fans; at which time a MU fan, a man in his 60s, yelled out towards Snell something about you needed the refs to win that game. Smell them got in the man’s face, then slapped a large soda cup, the large black plastic ones you buy at the concessions. He must of swong pretty hard because the cup rocketed past me, directly between me and the child. Spray from the cup hit me, and I believe the child also. At this time I said something I probably should not have, but just reactively said it. I blurted out “Thug!” Snell then took a step towards me and I thought he was going to throw a punch. He then stepped back, waved his finger at me, and did some type of dance thing. He then turned around and swaggered off. Even the group of joyous Kentucky fans stoped their celebration at this time; I assume because they realized that this was not good and could have conciseness. I plan to contact our Athletic Department Monday morning. Hopefully others that witnessed the incident will also do the same.
