on the Mizzou Football and the QB situation, cliff notes of Walljasper's thoughts:

1) Said this was a total surprise...no one had any pre warning that a suspension was coming.

2) Said he has heard lots of rumours but declined to speculate on reasons for the suspensions.

3) Said it may be a blessing in disguise as he felt the QB switch was inevitable and this might have made the switch easier for GP...alluded to Maty having helped win the Tigers a lot of games over the past two years and how tough it would have been to have that conversation with Maty to make the switch.

4) Gave some props to Maty for being a tough competitor and for always being a stand-up guy...siad he never dodged the media and always showed to answer questions...even after poor performances or losses.

5) Said he did not think think that all of the offensive struggles were on Mauk...that Maty has not had the same tools around him (as in '14 and especially in '13) to be very effective.

6) Said he is not sure how Maty's role will play out going forward...but he hopes he comes back to the team this year...but added that he would be surprised if he sticks around for next year (alluded to Mauk's older brother transfering as as a Senior also).

7) Said the poor play of the OL has surprised him...he expected it to be a team strength going into the season...thinks Boehm's injury and McGovern playing out of his normal position has something to do with it but the other experienced Senior OL guys have not played as well as last year for what ever reason.

8) Said he thinks Lock has lots of potential but fans should temper expectations because he will have the same limited supporting cast that has hand cuffed Mauk. Expects a more pass-heavy game plan...noted that the run/pass ration with Lock has been 25/75 whereas with Mauk more like 50/50. Says young WR's really need to step up now to help Lock out.

9) Thinks Hansbrough's injury has been crippling to the offense (no pun intended)...and hopefully he is healthier and able to carry more of the load and be more effective real soon. Thinks that Hunt should get more touches...and that his "walk-on stigma" probably has somewhat affected his role...thinks that he is our best RB option right now other than a fully health Hansbrough.

10) Thinks Zanders will be the #2 guy because he brings something different to the table with his running ability...but said he would be surprised if the got the desiginated series in the 2nd quarter like Lock has been getting as the #2...saying that might not be wise adding further to QB controversy that has lingered all this year.

SO...pretty much in line with a lot of the talk on Power Mizzou for the most part...just passing this along.
