For Mizzou to take the next step will be if Wilks is significantly better than Walters.
Walters was a solid DC, but if Wilks is a big upgrade in scheme, etc Mizzou will have a heck of a 1/2 combo with him and Drink.
In my opinion, when Drink said we needed to close the talent gap some of that was also on the coaching side of things.
It’s not a coincidence we actually won some close games last year, whereas the previous regime seemed to find a way to lose those games.
