I literally pulled into the Pilot gas station when the fire started spreading. At fire, it sounds like a huge rumble/roar, then the small fireworks stared exploding. After about 4-5 minutes, you could hear larger, concussive types of blast/explosions going off.
Then there as a huge smoke cloud the moved east and was as thick as dense fog. it caught everyone standing outside by surprise. I managed to grab one picture before jumping into my car and heading back on the road to KC.
Lucky for all, there were no casualties and damage as contained. It seems like the first responders made it to the location fairly fast.
