This is sort of off topic as it’s more of a marketing question I suppose. But a while back @GabeD mentioned that he was asked to start using the proper name of the bowl, Autozone Liberty Bowl, instead of just Liberty Bowl. I was listening to a podcast that also mentioned “well I guess we better get this right, what was it? The Allstate Sugar Bowl?”
I’m curious what the ramifications would be if media outlets didn’t mention the correct sponsor of the bowl? Even the media outlets that seemingly have no interest (i.e. aren’t also sponsored by these companies). Is this a suable offense?
