I post this not to disparage Brad, grateful he will always be a Tiger but to put some perspective on how difficult it is to play QB. Keep reading how Maty was the worst QB ever in games last year. Fl is always mentioned. Who knows how he could have done if called upon. When you're up big no need to take chances. The games below, we needed Brad to be big. He wasn't. His Sr year, he had 2 NFL guys starting (Rucker/Franklin) and had Ek and Coffey in the starting line up. 3 pts, 38 yards rushing and 141 passing. So, fire away but there are few guys in the SEC who I would trade him for. He can escape, keep plays alive, keeps defenses from blitzing with the run threat. Yes, I thought Chase should have gotten the ball in the second half against KU...was there. It was bad.

Fr Year COLUMBIA, Mo.
- Brad Smith ran for 117 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown on a quarterback draw, and backup tailback T.J. Leon added 104 yards rushing and two scores as Missouri beat Kansas 36-12 Saturday.

Missouri, a 22-point favorite, ran the ball 10 straight times during one successful third-quarter drive, with Tyrone Roberson getting the call five times in a row. Smith was 9-for-16 for 135 yards

So Year LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas' maligned defense shut down Brad Smith to lead the Jayhawks past No. 23 Missouri 35-14 Saturday. Smith never got untracked and passed for only 62 yards. - he had only 33 yards on the ground. The managed only 196 against a defense ranked tenth in the Big 12.

Jr Year COLUMBIA, Mo. - Fourth-stringer Brian Luke threw for 239 yards and two touchdowns, helping Kansas end a 13-game Big 12 road losing streak with a 31-14 victory over staggering Missouri on Saturday.

Clark Green had 118 yards on 32 carries and a touchdown as Kansas (4-7, 2-6 Big 12) snapped a four-game losing streak and finished its season by winning for only the second time in the last nine games. The Jayhawks beat Missouri for the second straight year,

Missouri (4-6, 2-5) had entered the game with an outside shot at advancing to the Big 12 championship game and staying alive for a bowl. The Tigers have lost five in a row with one game remaining next week at Iowa State, which will be looking to wrap up the North Division title that Missouri was favored to win.

Kansas bottled up Missouri quarterback Brad Smith, , sacking him six times. Smith was 15-for-40 for 262 yards, most of it after the game was out of reach, and had minus-41 yards rushing on 13 carries, a year after the Jayhawks held him to 95 total yards.

Sr Year. LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Kansas beat Missouri for the third straight year, 13-3 on Saturday.

Kansas (4-4, 1-4) had lost four in a row, but for the third straight year managed to contain Smith. He wound up with 38 yards rushing and 141 passing.
