I believe in the right to have legal weapons. BUT why weapons of war? I have witnessed someone within 3 feet of me over 30 years ago getting their head exploded by a mere 'handgun'. Have not gotten that image out of my head since. Can only imagine the carnage these assualt rifles do. Some of the dead children in Uvalde couln't be identified without parents DNA. For everyone who thinks these weapons should be legal except for our first responders-i have a question: Have you seen the damage these weapons do? I wish they would have shown the classrooms at these grade school(minus the children) so people can see what damage occurs and the aftermath. I know many law enforcement departments have the most difficult decisions to go up against these weapons. I don't know how they do it. As a country, we HAVE to be better than this and finally stand up and cry out our feelings and reasons why-that is how a democracy works. I know i will be blasted by some, but this shooting has pissed me off, and i just won't stay quiet any longer. We are a damn great country, but these mass shootings only soil our image.
