BREAKING NEWS: CAPITOL POLICE OFFICER BRIAN SICKNICK DIED OF NATURAL CAUSES, ACCORDING TO D.C. CHIEF MEDICAL EXAMINER

The D.C. chief medical examiner has ruled that Capitol Police Officer Brian D. Sicknick suffered two strokes and died of natural causes the day after the Jan. 6 riots, The Washington Post is reporting.

Medical examiner Francisco Diaz said that the autopsy did not find any evidence of internal or external injuries, and no indication that Sicknick suffered an allergic reaction to chemical substances.

Two men have been charged with assaulting Sicknick with a chemical irritant.
