I got his new book for Christmas and am about finished reading it. It’s a good book, and better than I expected.
One thing he talks about is going to the SEC he knew we needed more depth in the lines, and as a team overall. He mentioned in his early visits with SEC coaches they were concerned about getting their teams healthy. The SEC really give themselves a pounding throughout the season. I’ve been noticing this the last few years about some of the teams particularly. It seems to me Arkansas and Tennessee have both been hurt a lot by injuries the last few years. Florida lost depth by suspensions and other injuries too. I saw Mississippi State lose a game late in the season too that they were short handed in their receivers for sure, and maybe other positions too.
We seem to hold up pretty well, but I can see how depth is critical.
