Per a source with knowledge, Blake Baker will be promoted to defensive coordinator. Linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator DJ Smith will be named co-defensive coordinator. There will be one vacancy on the staff which will be used in all likelihood to hire a cornerbacks coach.
Do not expect these moves to be officially released probably till about the start of spring football, but I trust my source here that this is Drinkwitz's plan.
I am told the plan is to maintain continuity from last year and run the same defensive scheme Mizzou ran under Steve Wilks.
