Re: Conference Realignment
It appears to me, the Big 10 is really advancing their game in this age of realignment. The 4 west coast schools (UCLA, So Cal, Washington, Oregon) add big time value to their league in all phases: money, competitiveness (equaling and maybe surpassing that of the SEC) , exposure (TV including cable, & non-cable, footprint (recruiting, etc) reaching across valuable zones. They may dominate the TV linear (cable & non-cable) markets as a result. The SEC has done nothing. Perhaps that's by design but based on my uninformed mind, that can create limited TV/sight availability over time for the SEC schools. Now I am hearing Florida State, Clemson are desirous/prefer the Big 10 over the SEC. What is the SEC strategy? Is it satisfied with just being regional? The Big can, at this time, offer more money. Please chime in with your thoughts.
