Thought I’d canvas the OT on how many folks have cut the cord, what platform they’re using, plus cost. And maybe a little pro and con to boot.
I went with YoutubeTV starting in Oct and haven’t looked back. Switched from U-Verse(and Dish before that)in which I was paying for 5 HD boxes and my one year promo rates had lapsed. Total $190+ with HBO. Add $14 for Netflix, $5 for Apple TV that put the total over $210/month.
I now have YouTubeTV with locals for $55 Add $15 for HBO, $14 for Netflix, $5 for AppleTV+, Disney+ that’s free for a year as a Verizon customer, Amazon TV thats free for Prime members, and I’ve got a whole shit pot of content for $89/month.
Love the YouTubeTV interface as it’s quite predictive of my typical sports and shows I watch, has unlimited DVR, and streaming issues have only very rarely been an issue.
One downside for me is no NFL Network.
What say the rest of this motley crew?
