I have been going to Mizzou games for 25 - 30 years consistently. Been a season ticket holder for a big chunk of it. I have been in attendance for several sell outs or near sell outs over the years, but in years past Faurot's near capacity crowds were not overwhelmingly loaded with Mizzou fans. It would often be 60%/40%, maybe 70% Mizzou - 30% nubs, ou etc.....
The crowd Saturday was probably 95% Mizzou, lsu game was probably 90% Mizzou fans.....even the ksu game was 80% Mizzou or better. The crowds and fans are showing up. It's been a blast soaking in the atmosphere this year. The vibe in the air is just different. Hoping we can keep this up for a while. My Dad's best friend is from Knoxville and I'm bringing him to the ut game with me. Hoping we send him home in a bad mood!
Anybody else's takeaway on the % of Mizzou fans filling the stands?
On a side note. My wife and I decided to try to go to 1 SEC road game a year and or a bowl game. Everyone has been really nice to us everywhere we have been so I try to repay that vibe when I can here. That being said, I had to laugh out loud Saturday as I witnessed a Mizzou fan and a USC fan yelling at each other and the USC fans mic drop moment was "why don't you go back to getting your asses kicked in the Big 10".
