I'm not old enough to really remember his playing days, so I'm curious to hear from some folks here who followed him back in HS and/or at Purdue. It baffles me a little bit that for a guy who was a very good shooter himself -- a 45% 3pt shooter on nearly 400 attempts -- he doesn't seem to really prioritize shooting when he's recruiting.
Which brought me to this question... in looking at Cuonzo's stats as a player he was a very good shooter and shot it quite a bit as a JR and SR, but shockingly attempted just 7 threes total in his FR and SO seasons. Maybe those stats are messed up, but if not... was he always a good shooter who just for some reason (coaching, strategy, whatever) didn't shoot it in his first two years? Or was he a guy who wasn't a great shooter coming out of HS and had to develop into a good shooter before Keady would give him the green light as an upperclassman?
