Says he hopes to have good fan support in KC, likes playing a holiday tournament.
Butler is a good team, great tradition. Remembers playing them when he was at Purdue.
Stanford and Oklahoma both are talented, but Butler is the most important thing.
Team was off yesterday, back to practice today.
Team is healthy, no worries injury wise
Pinson and Smith have played well, but "those guys are much better than what their numbers show." Says they have to take care of the ball better. "Neither guy is playing defense at the level they're capable of."
Still a lot of room for defensive improvement. After every game he charts where they gave up points due to their own errors. Said they gave up 32 points on poor defensive decisions against Northern Kentucky. Said that number improved against Xavier. He stresses he tries to be fair doing that evaluation. Doesn't count tough shots that are made against them, just Mizzou's own errors.
Told the team "Imagine if we did a better job of taking care of the basketball..but you make it so hard on yourself"
Said he used to work out at Butler in the summer time. Said the coaches they have are the reason they've become such a consistent program.
Mizzou "should be the best brand in Kansas City already"
On Watson said he took open shots so he's not worried, but the more he thinks about it, the more it will weigh on him. Said Watson is still in the gym working and if he keeps getting good shots they will start to go in. "I'd take my chances if the other teams are willing to go into games and let Torrence Watson shoot the ball, I like my percentages."
Said he sees more and more teams going under ball screens with the extended three point line and guys need to be ready to shoot the ball.
