Winning streak has improved confidence. They were trying to find their way early on without Jontay. With so many new guys they had to go through some things to understand this level.
Says Tennessee doesn’t have many flaws, does a good job on both ends. Staff has done a good job developing players, especially Williams and Schofield. Says they’re both top ten players in the country.
Asked about recruiting rankings: says there is value in them for the kids but as a coach he has to be able to see for himself what fits the program and can help, doesn’t get caught up in stars.
Says Geist has done a great job, plays with toughness, prime example of a guy that wasn’t highly touted but has made himself a good player and understands who he is as a player.
