Danny reviewed our incoming class today and we learned the following:
J Hester is the obvious star
Of the top 5 guys coming in Hester is the only Odom recruit, the other 4 are Drinks
Hazelton, Draine, Edwards & Heismeyer
Compared Heismeyer to Evan Boehm
Thinks Carliss & Maclin would be excellent cornerbacks if WR crew is too full
Thinks LB Norris and OT Walters are a stretch
Everyone else, it will be based on how they develop
I asked him after if he thinks Drink & staff getting 4 of the top 5 incoming demonstrates that he might be a better recruiter than we have had and he was guarded saying "too early to tell". He also said it will be interesting to see how Drink and staff adjust to coaching in the SEC. He thinks people don't always understand how much talent is playing in that league.
