Had the joy of wasting 2 hours of my day dealing with a pissed off patient and family who were upset with customer service issues caused by COVID related staffing shortages.
Patient is under the age of 60 and was already on Medicare due to a laundry list of predictable preexisting medical conditions before getting COVID which completely kicked their ass. The patient didn’t get vaccinated due to fear of myocarditis…
Believe it or not I am excellent at not being a smart ass and excel at deescalating these situations. But man it is getting harder and harder to deal with people and this crap every single day.
As a bonus, we found out today that KN95 or N95 must be worn again at all times while at work.
