Semi-inside info (Administration) mentioned to me that Sterk is in a tough position initially with Finances and @GabeD 's recent info may have been an attempt to ensure the pool of money needed for the next coach and staff was clearly understood.
The coaches presented to the few BOC members may have been an exploratory exercise to demonstrate the challenges with a coaching search this year and who is available at a certain level of funding. Sterk may even still be targeting his #1/#2 coach as there are multiple budget scenarios still in the works - if said info is accurate.
Not sure how I feel about Sterk just yet, but he might be doing us all a favor - time will tell...
