Ah, every 4 years, two often for local politicians, libs are promising to do something really really important for black voters. It’s pretty much spend money they dont have on programs that dont work and in the process pilfer the money by bureaucrats and community activists and in the end it doesn’t matter because it was about votes based on a promise.
The two highest tax states that have people leaving in droves, California and New York, are setting up commissions to study reparations. It means taking money by taxing and giving it to a group based on skin color. Black people pay taxes will they be exempt if they haven’t lived in the state long enough from paying reparations to other black people? Does the recent immigrant from South Africa get reparations from the Muslim escaping slavery in China and having income in New York?
Oh democrats love to spend OPM (other people’s money) to buy votes from different constituencies. San Francisco had a plan to pay millions in reparations but had to shut down the plan due to budget.
New York is on a path to over 200 billion in debt with shrinking tax base and extremely high taxes. But promises and acting like you are gonna pass out free money is good for Dems in an election year.
