No Russell Hansbrough. He is listed as out for this game. Ish Witter starting tailback followed by Tyler Hunt OR Morgan Steward, then Chase Abbington.
I think this is a necessary evil. You need Hansbrough, but you've got exactly one gimme on the schedule. You shouldn't need him to win this game. The problem is that there are health questions about the top three guys. Witter got dinged up at ASU, Hunt has been battling a groin and Steward simply hasn't looked healthy. Those asking for Chase Abbington are likely to get a look at him this weekend. This is his chance.
The only other change comes at left guard, where Taylor Chappell reassumes the starting role over Alec Abeln, who is listed second string.
I haven't gone back and broken down film, but the general consensus has been that Abeln has struggled and this would back that up. Chappell struggled last year too. At this point, they're searching for someone to step up. It needs to happen pretty soon.
On defense, the OR is gone between Josh Augusta and Terry Beckner Jr. Augusta is the starter, Beckner the backup.
No biggie here. Both made a play or two last week. Both will play plenty.
