KC knocked this draft out of the park. It was awesome. The city looked amazing. The draft was beautiful. It went smoothly. The crowds were great. All in all it was a huge success. Was it successful enough to make the NFL reconsider KC as a Superbowl host city?
I remember when they said we needed the rolling roof because the league didn't want weather to be a factor. Residents voted it down and that was the end of the Superbowl. But then the league let New York host the Superbowl in an outdoor stadium. So the weather issue has obviously changed.
Clark Hunt is a company man. He's always done what the league asks. I think he's earned some favor if he wanted to try again. Plus Kansas City is much more appealing now than it was in the early 2000s. If we can host the World Cup then surely we can host a Superbowl.
