Head swimming and diving coach Greg Rhodenbaugh has confirmed that diving coach Jamie Sweeney is stepping down from his post and exiting coaching to spend more time with his family. Sweeney plans to move to Kansas City, where his wife recently got a new job.
Sweeney graduated from Missouri in 2004 after diving for the Tigers from 1999-2003. He has spent all 14 years since as Missouri's diving coach, and during his tenure he has coached 12 different All-Americans. In 2013, he was named the Male Diving Coach of the Year by the SEC.
Rhodenbaugh said the search to replace Sweeney is ongoing.
