D'Moi showing things in Summer League

His stats haven't been overly impressive but he's playing well and may have broken through tonight. More importantly, prior to summer league, the Lakers gave him a two-way contact. That's a great sign of potential and his fit as a 3 and d guy is there. While it isn't as optimal as a being selected in the draft, teams only have 3 two-ways (up from 2 last year) so D'Moi clearly caught their eye prior to the draft.


Two-way contracts allow NBA teams to carry three extra players in addition to the 15 on their regular season roster. These players generally bounce back and forth between the NBA and G League, but remain under team control and can't be poached by rival franchises.
