Drink has liked the fan support this season and hopes for another good crowd. It's Military Appreciation weekend and he said it's good to have this weekend before the week of voting. So, not just have a good crowd for the team but for the military.

Drink said EJ Ndoma-Ogar has been working hard. he said he's had inconsistencies in performance but they watched his start from last season vs. SC and realized that the offensive line has been bad this season. He feels EJ helped the line but he said there's a lot for the offensive line to work on. He said there's something to improve from all 11 guys and the coaching staff.

Drink said that the team has always known it's a defensive team but it was just recently they've fully embraced that the defense is the face of the team. He said the offense and special teams have to help the defense out and that they have to manage the game.

Drink on the road win over No. 25 SC...he feels the team has prepared for the wins so they are confident. They've been playing well they just hadn't put it together to win. So, the team is confident and not arrogant.

Drink said that the pass rush is getting better. He said week by week they're improving and said that DJ Coleman and Isaiah McGuire have been doing well in one-on-one situations. He said coach Pogue and Peoples are low-ego and high-input individuals.

Drink thinks he's a really physical player at the point of attack. He said DJ puts good pressure on the QB and is a playmaker. The depth of the defensive line helps everyone.

Drink said he has respect for Mark Stoops for taking a job that hadn't been successful and building it up and having an identity. He said the offense plays to their strengths whether its the QB RB or WR or whoever. He said the defense plays an odd structure and that they're really big on the inside. They're disciplined and know when to blitz and not to discipline.

He said that Brady stretched the field vertically and that set the tone vs SC. He said that they scheme up things based on who their opponent is and that they didn't change the whole offense vs. SC but made tweaks that could give them the best chance to win.

He said Blake Baker has maximized the scheme and personnel to match up well against the offenses they are seeing. They make changes when they need to. He said it was a low ego approach to take plays from last season and use them and get better as opposed to having a new scheme and new plays.

Drink anticipates that UK will play best game of the year after how it played last week.

Drink said that Cody Schrader may be tougher than DJ Coleman or at least they are neck and neck (Drink was serious too).

Drink thinks UK is the most explosive kickoff return team in the nation. Drink said Mizzou is inconsistent at best on kickoffs. He said that the kicking has been inconsistent and that the coverage unit can't rely on Koetting to kick touchbacks. He said to expect some changes on the coverage unit as far as personnel changes to create competition.

He said that teams are paying attention to Dom Lovett but that people are overlooking him because of LB3.

He said TE Ryan Hoesrtkamp has earned the reps. He said that Ryan took advantage of his role and that the person who beat him out (he's likely talking about Kibet Chepyator) in camp hasn't played to the level they need him to be.
