Asked about Connor Bazelak, says he's seen improvement on both decision-making and accuracy. Said he's had maybe three or four decisions that he wishes he would have had back, but he did a really nice job of taking the check down on some shot plays Saturday. He did a nice job creating yards with his feet on third downs this week.
Bob Holt asked Drinkwitz if he remembers when The Citadel beat Arkansas in 1992. He says he was in third grade but he does remember it.
Asked about Gus Malzahn and UCF joining the Big 12, Drinkwitz also says he's happy for former Mizzou president Alexander Cartwright. Says they'll be a formidable foe in that league.
Says Mizzou needs to get its penalties cleaned up. It had "between nine and 11" last week. Also of course says Mizzou has to stop the run. "If we don't stop the run then it's really, really difficult to play defense."
