Speaking now. Starts off by saying he has a lot of respect for the BC program and their head coach and this will be a good challenge. Says there was a lot made of his comment yesterday about what kind of games he would prefer to play and says that is not an insult of BC in any way, he would just prefer to play more regional games but didn't have a say in scheduling this one.
Says the last time he coached at BC it was about 18 degrees. Says it's a really cool stadium, kind of a bowl that sits right on top of you. He's anticipating it's going to be a full house and really loud on Saturday
Notes BC hasn't allowed a first half touchdown in the first three games. Says they create big plays in special teams, created an explosive play in the kickoff return game last week and do a good job on punt return. Said they have five great OL but he really likes their left guard in particular.
Asked to evaluate the Mizzou special teams so far this season, Drinkwitz says for the most part punt and kickoff have done a good job of placing the ball where it needs to be. Says they've probably been a little better than opponents in special teams on the year. Says they still need to create a momentum play on special teams
