I’m a huge Drink fan.
However, one thing I don’t understand is continuing to play WR’s, especially Hazelton, that can’t be counted on to catch the ball.
When Abrains-Drain proved unreliable as a punt returner he was replaced by Musser who simply fair catches everything. I like that approach.
The same approach should be taken with WR’s that aren’t dependable as pass catchers. Bannister, Dove and Smith have proven to be dependable pass catchers. They need to be the starters.
Dropped passes are like turnovers. As Pinkel said, “we have to be able to play pitch and catch”.
