ANOTHER EARLY ENROLLEE:

- Earlier this week, quarterback commit Tyler Macon announced that he will officially be enrolling early at Missouri. This is something he first mentioned when he spoke with us during the summer after the Elite 11 Finals in Nashville. He also said it was still in the works whenever we caught up with him earlier this month at the Explosion Sports Academy Rising Stars Showcase. Macon is now the fourth Tiger commitment that intends to enroll early, joining Travion Ford, Daylan Carnell, and Daniel Robledo.

There could be more commits that join the early enrollment list and we'll keep you up to date as that happens.

NEW 2021 TARGETS:

- Caught up with Williams, who didn't have a power five until October 7th when Missouri and offensive line coach Marcus Johnson extended one. Kansas has since gotten involved earlier this week. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound prospect plays a variety of positions for his team - tight end, h-back, defensive end, and offensive line. In regards to Missouri, Williams has talked to Johnson a couple of times, who says he likes his athleticism and thinks he can be special at offensive tackle at the next level. Williams said he doesn't know a whole lot about Missouri's program, but is hoping to learn more moving forward. Don't think there is a big push for Williams at the moment, but that could change as more film comes out during his season.

- Williams is another offensive tackle prospect that Missouri offered earlier this month. He's got a basketball background and this is his first year playing football, so he's very raw, but coaches like his length, footwork, and speed. Williams has talked with O-line coach Marcus Johnson a couple of times on the phone and likes his straight forwardness. He indicated that he could make a college decision in November and is working on a list of favorites. It seems Missouri will have a lot of ground to make up if they want Williams in the class, but we don't get an indication that they are pushing too hard right now. Arizona State is a school to keep an eye due to location. Williams also has a brother that plays offensive line at Northern Arizona as well.

THE LATEST ON ARDEN WALKER:

- If there is someone that Missouri will take a commitment from right now, it will most likely be Walker. Justin Guerreiro of CUSportsNation.com caught up with the three-star prospect earlier this week, who despite postponing his commitment back on October 8th, is still looking to pick a school before the calendar flips to November. There are rumors that Oklahoma could get involved, but we don't see him being a take for the Sooners at the moment even if they offered him. Like we previously mentioned, he's a secondary option for Texas right now. So, this will be interesting to watch over the next few days.

EARLY IMPRESSIONS WITH 2022 TARGETS:

- Missouri is establishing a strong recruiting stance with a handful of 2022 targets, one of those being in-state cornerback Toriano Pride. Rivals.com midwest analyst Josh Helmholdt recently caught up with the four-star prospect, who talks frequently with Missouri's staff and was impressed with their recent win over LSU. Georgia, Auburn, Ohio State, Oregon, Clemson, Alabama, and Penn State are other programs he talks with a lot.

- Missouri got in very early with Nwankpa, who has seen his recruiting stock rise significantly in the last month. He recently chatted with Josh Helmholdt and said that Missouri, Iowa, Texas, Penn State, and LSU are schools he talks with frequently. The Tigers, along with Iowa and Texas are programs the four-star prospect checks in with on a weekly basis.

- Brooks is another 2022 defensive back that Missouri is in frequent contact with. The three-star prospect received an offer from the Tigers back in September and has other notable offers from the likes of LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Florida, and others as well. He is the son of Chet Brooks, a former Texas A&M defensive back who won a couple of Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers in the 90's.

WALK-ON WATCH:

- According to Blair Sanderson of HawkeyeReport.com, Rockhurst (Mo.) 2021 tight end Johnny Pascuzzi will be at Missouri this weekend to take in their matchup with Kentucky from the stands. He's picked up walk-on offers from Missouri, Kentucky, and Iowa over the past couple of weeks, so he's knocking out two teams in one trip this weekend. He intends to travel to Iowa next weekend.

GENERAL NOTE:

Eli Drinkwitz mentioned on Tiger Talk last night that Missouri was in the midst of one of its recruiting dead weeks due to the NCAA sanctions. That means the staff hasn't been able to directly contact recruits, although the coaches have been on a coordinated social media blitz

It's a creative way to get around some of the issues caused by the sanctions. We plan to find out how many more dead weeks Mizzou has to serve if we can. It's a bit confusing because we asked in late spring or early summer and were told the sanctions had all been served and Missouri was full steam ahead. Obviously that was inaccurate. If we're being honest, the pandemic and the ensuing recruiting restrictions probably didn't happen at the worst time for Missouri. They're losing a lot less ground than they would be in a normal year having to take a month off in October.
