For all the talk about why Mizzou doesn't wow with recruiting I watched Gary Pinkel at SEC media day and it became more apparent than ever that his personality isn't conducive to wowing these recruits. In our case I think facilities play less of a role in landing these guys. All the other coaches(minus Saban of course...and his resume speaks for itself had energy for days while our coach to make it simple...was drab and boring. Doesn't mean he's not a great coach, just a terrible salesman.
I'm seeing Baylor with a sandbox 40,000 seat stadium land high recruit year after year. Same with Ole Miss. There's no reason other than poor salesmanship why we shouldn't be in on and land a few of these higher rated recruits. Ole Miss and Baylors facilities are on par or worse than ours. So the facilities aren't the issue. We win on par with Baylor and more than Ole Miss. And I know
