First half offense: C-
First half defense: A-
First half special teams: B
Second half outlook: Tigers could go 6-0 if the offense improves. Tigers could go 0-6 if the offense remains non productive and the defense falls apart. Odds are for a 3-3 second half; however, the key game may be this Saturday at Georgia. Georgia has as many, or more, problems as the Tigers. The Tigers have a very good defense. Georgia is average at best on both sides of the ball. Even though the odds say that the Tigers finish the regular season at 7-5, I still remain hopeful that 10-2 is more than just a dream. For a strong second half the OL has to improve a lot and DL, RH, CA, and the young receivers need to excel. One other positive: All six of the remaining opponents have at least moderate problems. Personally, I feel that the strength of the remaining opponents (from toughest to weakest...given the location of the game) are Mississippi State, Georgia, BYU, Tennessee, Arkansas and Vandy (tie). I can see winning or losing each game; that is why the odds are for a 3-3 second half. IMO, 6-0 and 2-4 finishes are equally likely. Again, at Georgia is a huge game. Beat Georgia and the Tigers could win out. Period.
