Pre-spring SP+ rankings for all 134 teams, plus why we're buying FSU and Michigan
With the 2024 recruiting cycle in the books and spring practice starting soon, it's time to look at the updated SP+ rankings for every team.
My favorite predictive rankings, done by Mizzou’s own Bill Connelly, have Mizzou at No. 11.
What’s possibly most exciting is that we play only one team ranked above us.
That’s No. 6 Alabama, which is graded about 5 points better on a neutral field. Next two toughest games are No. 13 A&M and No. 14 Oklahoma, both about 3 points worse on a neutral. Then there’s a big drop to No. 31 Auburn (13 points worse on a neutral!).
Obviously these could change some after the spring transfer season, but they’re a pretty good predictor of betting lines. Right now we’d only be an underdog in one game, favored over OU at home and maybe like a pick em at aTm.
