In the end though, it benefited Illinois.
The correct call is an offensive foul and the play stops there, baseline inbound.
Instead the review determined that it was flagrant (it wasn't) and that it occurred after the shot.
So we get 2 free throws, why don't we get the ball?
It seems like they're encouraging teams to be aggressive/violent when there's nothing on the line.
