Freeze and Bama (and Mizzou)

The story basically says Saban is pushing for Freeze, but there are some at Bama who don't want it and SEC commissioner Greg Sankey "isn't keen on that happening."

So piecing things together, here's what happened here, I think: The SEC gave Missouri indications it wouldn't be real happy if the Tigers hired Freeze. They can't officially tell Missouri they can't do it, but they can say "We'd sure prefer if he didn't have a job in the league next year." Missouri decided they didn't want to push back. Bama may decide otherwise. The SEC can't prevent anyone from hiring Freeze. And when you're Saban and you swing the biggest sword in the league, you can do whatever you want, regardless of what anybody says. When you're Mizzou and Barry Odom, you can't.
